The goal of the Flying DX junior rodeo is to provide the
opportunity for our youth to compete and have fun while promoting
good sportsmanship.

Bar
Youth Rodeo Assn. is trying to help kids getting ready for the W.J.H.S.R.A. (Wrangler Junior High School Rodeo Assn.) and the N.H.S.R.A. (National High School Rodeo Assn.) We offer the same
events for the kids, so they can be prepared and be successful in their rodeoing career. The rules of these associations are also used by the Flying DX Bar.
Flying DX Bar has given $3,250.00 dollars in
scholarships at the Kansas High School Rodeo Assn. We would really like to do it for every Flying DX Bar kid. We do it in the memory of a man that meant
a lot to us, John Warren. John loved kids and believed that all of them deserve a chance to go to college. Kevin and Betty continue this tradition on behalf of John. He worked hard to help kids at the youth rodeos. He would lend a horse or even haul a kid to the rodeos so they could enjoy a sport that John loved so much. John's family also gives an all-around saddle away each year in his memory. We lost John due to cancer a few years ago. Thanks to John's wife and kids, they let Johns dream live on with Kevin and Betty Davis and the Flying DX Youth Rodeo Assn.
Flying DX Bar is the third generation of friends that has put on youth rodeos. It started with Bar Z for 15 year. Ron Smith of Haysville, Ks. started it for kids thinking that it would give them something to do and keep them off the streets and out of trouble. How right he was. It started out small but soon grew to over 100 members. After 15 years in the business he decided to hand it over to Jerry White. Then is became the Rockin J Youth Rodeo Assn.
Jerry soon became evolved with the Kansas High School Rodeo Assn. He soon decided to hand down the torch to the Davis family. Now it is the Flying DX Bar Youth Rodeo Assn. Kevin and Betty came up with the name from two men that meant
a lot to them. Flying D came from Kevin's late Uncle Ray Davis. The X Bar is from the late John Warren. All three generations have put a new meaning to FAMILY. They have been going on as a family now for over 25 years.

THE HARD WORK PAYS OFF
 For many of our junior rodeo kids, the year-end awards is a
great way to show off all of their hard work.
The Flying DX awards has something for everyone and the smiles on
the kids faces let everyone know that all the hard work is worth it
in the end!
